The detail
A slim, ticked-coat breed shaped in Britain in the late 1800s, among the most active cats you can buy. An Abyssinian wants height, toys and your attention, and it treats every shelf in the house as a route.
What to weigh
An Abyssinian rarely sits still, gets bored alone and climbs everything. The breed also carries inherited eye, blood and kidney conditions that testing can reduce.
