The detail
Zoanthids are colonial polyps from tropical reefs, prized for bright colors and patterns. They are among the easiest corals to keep, but some produce palytoxin, a potent toxin, so handling needs care.

What to weigh
Some zoanthids contain palytoxin, which can cause serious illness. Wear gloves and eye protection and never boil rock with zoanthids on it.
