The detail
A thick-coated, curly cat from a dominant mutation found in Montana in 1987, built up with Persian, British and Exotic outcrosses. Selkirks are relaxed, cuddly and sturdy, with a coat that needs gentle handling.
What to weigh
Brushing flattens the curls, so grooming is a wide comb and patience. Because of Persian and British outcrosses, kidney and heart screening matter.
