The detail
A tall, spotted hybrid of a domestic cat and the African serval, graded by generation from F1 to later filial cats. Earlier generations are larger, wilder and legally restricted in places; later ones behave more like very active house cats.
What to weigh
A Savannah needs large, secure space and constant enrichment, and early generations can be hard to live with. Ownership laws vary by state, county and city, and many landlords and insurers restrict them.
