The detail
Satins were developed in the US in the 1930s from a mutation in Havana rabbits, and have a glossy coat that shines. They are large, calm and meaty, and are kept for meat, show and fur as well as pets.
What to weigh
Satins are large and need space and feed. Their fur can show wear and staining, which matters for show.
