The detail
A gaited horse from the American South, bred for the rack, a smooth, fast, four-beat single-foot gait. Racking Horses are calm, sturdy and comfortable, and are mostly used for trail and pleasure riding.
What to weigh
Keeping the rack smooth takes a rider and farrier who know gaited horses. Buyers should check for signs of past soring, which is illegal.
