The detail
Princess parrots are long-tailed pastel parrots from the arid interior of Australia, named for Princess Alexandra. They are gentle and relatively quiet, but their tails need room, so they suit keepers with an aviary or a very long flight cage.

What to weigh
A princess parrot needs a long flight cage or aviary to protect its tail. It is gentle but not a cuddly lap bird, and some learn only a few words.
