The detail

A gaited horse bred in Peru for long days on haciendas, with the smooth paso llano gait and an outward-swinging front leg called termino. Peruvians are proud, energetic and willing, and very comfortable to ride.

What to weigh

Peruvians have one of the highest known rates of DSLD, which can end a riding career. Their energy suits confident riders more than nervous ones.
