The detail

Myotonic goats, or fainting goats, were established in Tennessee in the 1880s and carry myotonia congenita, which makes their muscles stiffen when startled. They are muscular, calm meat goats and easy to keep.

Fencing needs
2 out of 5 (Poor jumpers)

What to weigh

Stiffening does not hurt them, but they can fall and get stuck in water or near predators. They grow slower than Boers.
