The detail
An aristocratic toy breed kept in Japanese imperial households, the Chin is a small, cat-like companion that washes its face with its paws and loves high perches. Charming, quiet and devoted, it suits calm homes and adults.
What to weigh
The flat face makes Chins sensitive to heat and prone to breathing and eye problems. They are fragile around rough play and can be wary of strangers.
