The detail
A solid chocolate-brown cat with green eyes, developed in Britain in the 1950s from Siamese and black shorthairs. Havanas are gentle, curious and people-focused, and they often reach out with a paw to investigate.
What to weigh
The Havana Brown is rare, with a small gene pool that breeders are working to widen. Kittens can be hard to find, and it needs company most of the day.
