Campbell's dwarf is a small, round hamster from the steppes of Central Asia, with a dark dorsal stripe and many color forms. It is quick and can be nippy until tamed, and the species is prone to diabetes, so an owner should limit sugary foods.

- 100×50 cm floor or more
What to weigh
Small, fast and harder to hold than a Syrian, with a life of about two years. Diabetes is common in the species, and pairs that seem friendly can fall out suddenly.
