The detail
Caiques are small, stocky parrots from the Amazon basin, famous for clowning, hopping and rolling on their backs. They are among the most playful parrots but can be bossy and nippy, especially with other birds.
- Housing
- Medium cage, lots of toys
What to weigh
A caique's energy means it needs daily play and training, and it will test boundaries with its beak. They can be aggressive toward other birds, so mixed households need care.
