The detail
Bubble corals are stony corals from the Indo-Pacific with water-filled vesicles that inflate during the day. At night they extend long sweeper tentacles that can sting neighbors, so they need space in a reef tank.
- Housing
- Reef tank, low to moderate light, low flow
- Tank size
- 3 out of 5 (Needs space)
What to weigh
Bubble corals sting nearby corals and their bubbles can tear on rock or from strong flow. Give them room and gentle flow.
