The detail
Bourke's parakeets are small, gentle grass parakeets from inland Australia, most active at dawn and dusk. They are quiet and peaceful, and do well in mixed aviaries, but are more for watching than for handling.

What to weigh
Bourke's are rarely cuddly, and a single bird without company can be lonely. They need room to fly more than toys.
