The detail
Black sable is the darkest ferret color, with near-black guard hairs, a white to cream undercoat and a dark mask. It has the same care, temperament and health risks as any ferret, so the color is a matter of looks.
- Housing
- Large cage, hours out daily
What to weigh
The same commitment as any ferret: daily play time, a meat-based diet and vet costs later in life. Color can shift with seasonal molts.
