The detail
Berkshires come from Berkshire, England, and are black with six white points. They are prized for dark, well-marbled, flavorful pork, sold as Kurobuta in Japan, and are a favorite for premium direct-market pork.
What to weigh
Berkshires grow slower than commercial breeds and put on more fat. They root heavily on pasture.
