The detail
Domestic doves, usually ringneck or diamond doves, are gentle birds kept in cages and aviaries. They are quiet, easy to care for and long-lived, which makes them a good fit for families and first-time bird keepers.
What to weigh
Doves are not very interactive and do not talk. They live 12 to 20 years, so plan for the long term.
