The detail

Brown Swiss come from the Swiss Alps and are one of the oldest dairy breeds. They give milk high in protein that is prized for cheese, and they are known for calm temperament, sound feet and long productive life.

What to weigh

They mature slowly and are large, so they eat more than a Jersey. Bulls are big and strong and should be handled with care.
