The detail
Brahmas are a large feather-legged chicken developed in the US in the 1850s from Asian birds. They are gentle giants, lay through the winter better than many breeds and handle cold well, which makes them great for colder regions.
What to weigh
Brahmas need extra space and feed, and their feathered feet collect mud and can hide scaly leg mites.
