The detail
Tetras are small schooling fish, mostly from South America and Africa, including the neon and cardinal tetras. A group moving together is one of the most attractive sights in a planted tank, and most are peaceful community fish.
- Best fit
- Community and planted tanks
- Hardiness
- 3 out of 5 (Sensitive in new tanks)
What to weigh
Tetras must be kept in groups to feel secure. Some, like neons, are sensitive in newly set-up tanks.
