From Central Arizona Animal Rescue

Hi, I’m Sandy! I’m a 3-year-old Holland Lop with an adorable face, a spunky personality, and some VERY strong opinions. My first impression on the volunteers? Well I needed some grooming that day, and frankly, I found the entire situation unacceptable. I’d approach someone as if I wanted pets, wait for them to reach out, and then immediately whip around and give them the bunny butt. Message delivered. I have a very thick coat and can be a heavy shedder, so regular brushing - and potentially daily brushing during a big molt - will be an important part of keeping me happy and healthy. I may not enjoy it, but apparently I’m also terrible at holding a grudge. Underneath all that sass, I’m an incredibly sweet, curious little girl who genuinely seems to want to trust people - I just need a little patience while I figure you out. After being subjected to four straight days of brushing by one volunteer (the audacity!), I still spent my exercise time running over to boop her, climbing all over her, and even grooming her. I’m still learning to fully relax into receiving pets, but I clearly love interacting with people and have so much affection waiting to come out once I feel completely…

How adopting Sandy works

Central Arizona Animal Rescue decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
