From Palomacy Pigeon & Dove Adoptions

Spittoon was a very young, still squeaking homing pigeon that was being chased by a hawk and crash landed in someone’s home. She may have been thrown away as she does have some black feathers (not desirable by wedding/funeral release businesses). She grew up and married a sweet, fancy manbird named Sultan. They are very adoptable! Please apply to adopt http://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting Spittoon works
