Sam, or Sam the Sammich as her foster parents call her, is one hefty, spirited gal. She's so spirited that she somehow survived for three entire weeks outside of a store until she was rescued! She had been reported to stand outside the store every single day as people passed by, unknowing that she is a domestic pigeon who couldn't survive on her own. We're thinking passersby kept her fed, because when she was finally saved, her body condition was fantastic, as was her feathers and overall health! Her foster parents report that she secretly loves head scratches, even though she acts like she doesn't. Perhaps she'd rather receive head scratches from the comfort of a forever home with you! Please apply to adopt http://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/
