From Fairbanks North Start Borough Animal Control
Picasso (A143725) is an 1-year-old Guinea Pig who weighed 2.31 pounds on intake! 10/07/26 This friendly guinea pig is Picasso! He was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, but because his owner fell ill and needed a home that could care for him. He was described as extremely friendly and has historically done well with children and strangers! He also has coexisted in harmony with dogs and cats! However, it is very important to be doing appropriate introductions. In typical guinea pig fashion, he was known to like to chew so providing him with appropriate chew toys, hay, and enrichment items is key! If you are unfamiliar with guinea pig care we encourage you to do your research before adopting. One thing unique to them is they do need Vitamin C supplemented into their diet daily. If you are interested in meeting Picasso, please let us know!
