Yukon may have missed out on some of the experiences that most dogs get to have growing up, but that hasn’t stopped this sweet boy from showing us just how much potential he has. His life before the shelter wasn’t the easiest, especially for a young and impressionable dog, so Yukon is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Yukon is incredibly sweet and has a naturally submissive personality when meeting new people. While he is comfortable and happy with the shelter staff he knows, he prefers when new people take things slow and give him a little time to warm up. Once he trusts you, you get to see the wiggly, happy Yukon we know and love! This boy absolutely thrives with structure and routine. Even in the shelter, he has done wonderfully with potty training, and we think he will flourish with a consistent routine and a little more structure than we’re able to provide here. He has also been working hard on his leash walking skills and learning basic cues like “sit” and “wait.” Yukon is an active young dog who will benefit from positive outlets for his energy, along with a person who is willing to provide gentle guidance, patience, and…
