Meet Walter — The 100% Egyptian Street Dog and Blanket Expert. There were no options to select "Egyptian Street Dog" or "Baladi", so we had to select "Unknown". In some ways it is a good selection. We have no idea how an Egyptian Street Dog made it nearly all the way around the world to end up on the streets of San Jose. After years of fending for himself, Walter is finally discovering just how cozy home life can be—and he’s all in. This sweet senior boy has appointed himself Chief Blanket Officer, carefully selecting, rearranging, and building the perfect snuggle nests throughout the day. If there’s a soft spot in the house, Walter will find it (and improve it). But blankets aren’t his only specialty—Walter is also quite the conversationalist! With an adorable mix of squeaks, groans, and yips, he’s always ready to share his thoughts. And if you respond? Even better. He’ll happily keep the chat going. Walter enjoys the simple pleasures: leisurely walks (1–2 miles is his sweet spot), peaceful neighborhood strolls, and car rides as your loyal co-pilot. He’s friendly with new people and dogs, just prefers polite introductions and a little time to warm up—like any true gentleman…
