From Friends of Campbell County Animal Control
From a volunteer: ”Walter and I got acquainted on Saturday at the Campbell County Shelter. I have a soft spot for the seniors and love how they can blossom in the right home with the right care and attention. If you are looking for a friendly senior boy to share your home, Walter has everything you need. He is good on leash, friendly with strangers and seems chill around other dogs at the shelter. He was left with us by his owner and unfortunately they gave us very little background information. But he's settled quite quickly into shelter life. He was happy to be leash walked by me and then by two new volunteers.” Please consider him as a candidate for foster or adoption. He really needs to be out of the shelter. It's no place for an older dog: he should live out his time on a sofa with toys and someone to sing to him :) Walter is being treated for tickborne diseases, which have caused some inflammation in his joints, but he is responding well and seems very happy to be medicated! Walter is a senior gentleman with a lot of love to give. At around 10 years old he’s young at heart and wants to play. The only thing holding him back is a sore front leg that the vet is trying to find…
