Courtesy post: Meet Valor, a resilient, brilliant, and incredibly affectionate 2-year-old boy who has been through far more than any dog should and somehow still believes people are pretty wonderful. At 65 pounds, Valor is a big-hearted adventurer who loves car rides with his head out the window, zoomies in shallow water, and joining his humans for paddleboarding and kayaking adventures. He is also one smart cookie. Valor knows sit, down, focus, and wait, is food motivated, and has been doing wonderfully with both group and individual training at Dogizone in Rockville. He walks beautifully on a martingale collar when his environment is calm and has been described as a stellar student. One important thing to know about Valor is that his reactivity is very situational and is not aggression. He does wonderfully when he has room to interact and play with other dogs. He has played successfully with dogs in outdoor spaces, at daycare, and during group activities, and he has been introduced to other dogs at pet stores and while playing outside without issues. In fact, his daycare and trainers have seen him play appropriately with other dogs. His challenge tends to happen in confined…
