From Ventura County Animal Regulation

This animal is currently receiving additional evaluation and/or care due to medical or behavioral concerns. At this time, placement options may be limited to rescue partners or highly experienced adopters. The shelter staff still need to get to know me before recommending me to a family like yours. Please keep an eye on our website if you are interested as I MAY become available at a later date. Be prepared for advanced/special behavioral needs. Update 9/26 Two of our staff members were actually able to get him out of his kennel today!! This is a big step for him, and we're feeling hopefully he'll be able to make it into a rescue, foster, or adoptive home ASAP!Though he is still a challenge to get out of his kennel (we believe due to a constant state of fear and stress in the kennel environment), once they were able to get him outside, they took him to a play yard for a bit. Here the dog displayed loose body language, panting with tongue hanging out, would run to end of yard and bounce back, rolled onto back showing belly on dog bed. After about 5 minutes, dog began walking up to staff, took a few treats out of their hand, allowed for a few pets, walked away, then walked back and…

How adopting UNO works

Ventura County Animal Regulation decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
