6/22 Meet Troubadour, better known as Tru! Tru is a young mixed-breed boy with a heart of gold and a story of incredible resilience. When he first arrived at our rescue, he had been severely neglected. He was painfully underweight and had spent much of his life confined to a crate. Despite everything he's been through, Tru has never stopped loving people. Over the past several months, Tru has blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful young dog. He's been working hard on his crate and potty training and continues to make fantastic progress. Considering the life he came from, we're incredibly proud of how far he's come. Tru's favorite thing in the world is being with his people. He soaks up attention, loves affection, and forms strong bonds with those who show him kindness. At just about a year old, he still has that adorable puppy face that will melt your heart—and the goofy puppy antics that will keep you smiling every day. We do not know his breed. The website makes us pick a breed when listing dogs, but he is most likely a mix of many breeds. Tru gets along well with most dogs and tends to do best with companions his size or smaller.
