Meet Sammie, a sweet 1-year-old Chihuahua looking for a patient, gentle soul to show him that the world is a safe and wonderful place. After a tough start to life, Sammie is understandably shy around new people and other animals, meaning he will thrive best in a quiet, adult-only home where he can be the only pet and open up at his own pace. Once he knows he is safe and you are his person, his true personality shines through—he becomes a fiercely loyal, loving, and playful little guy who loves nothing more than lounging on the couch, watching TV by your side, and burrowing deep under the covers. When he’s not cozying up indoors, Sammie loves soaking up the sunshine and watching wildlife outside, though he does require a securely fenced yard or leash to keep him safe. If you have a peaceful home and a little patience to unlock his heart, Sammie has a lifetime of devoted companionship to give. If you think you are the perfect home for him, apply today on the MACS Friends website!
