Ruger — A Sweet Boy Discovering How Wonderful Home Can Be Ruger is a 40 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix whose life didn’t get the easiest start. He was abandoned along with his brothers and their dad when a tenant left them behind at a cabin in the woods. Like his brothers, Ruger spent his early life outside with very little experience of the world beyond what he knew. Because of that, adopters should expect Ruger to be a little shy and sensitive at first. Moving into a new home, meeting new people and learning a whole new routine is a big change for a boy who hasn’t always had the chance to experience the world in a safe and secure way. He may need a little time to settle in and figure out that this new life really is his. But once Ruger gets comfortable, you get to see what a truly sweet boy he is. ❤️ He has been living in a house now and is doing wonderfully. He has discovered some of the very best things about being an indoor dog—especially finding a soft place to curl up and getting comfy on the bed!
