From Community Animal Welfare Society

Meet Rue! The kangaroo in a sighthound suit! At 24.5 lbs, this 1.5-year-old girl is a leggy bundle of goofy energy, playful wiggles, and snuggles. Rue loves running, playing with other dogs, going for walks, and curling into the tiniest ball beside her favorite human.Rue gets along with dogs and has done great with a cat. She’s also sweet with kids, though her long, skinny legs and enthusiastic jumping mean gentle, dog-savvy kiddos are best. She’s food-motivated, smart, and eager to learn. She already knows “sit” and is working on “wait.”She’s crate-trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and is making great progress with leash walking. She’ll need regular potty breaks, continued training, and a little supervision around counters and tempting chewables.Rue would love an active home with a fenced yard and, ideally, a playful dog friend. In return, you’ll get a hilarious little kangaroo who’s just as happy bouncing around as she is snuggling up for a nap!Ready for a little bounce and a lot of love? Rue is your girl!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS…

How adopting Rue works

Community Animal Welfare Society decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
