From Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation

Meet Rook ️ Rook is a Ridglan laboratory research survivor whose first year of life left him understandably fearful of people and unsure of how to simply be a dog. But underneath that fear is the sweetest, playful little guy who so badly wants to trust, love and enjoy life. After four months with his foster family, Rook is making progress and showing more and more of that happy, joyful dog inside him — but his journey isn't finished. His forever family will need to understand that earning Rook's trust will take time, patience and commitment. He isn't a dog who will walk into a new home and immediately settle in as a typical family pet. Rook absolutely LOVES other dogs, large and small, and will need a confident, gentle yet playful canine companion who can continue to show him that the world is a safe and fun place. He is housetrained using a doggie door and will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. He would do best in a calm household; if there are children in the home, they should be mature and respectful. Unfortunately, we cannot place this dog in a home with toddlers. Research dogs often startle easily and may struggle with the unpredictable…
