Sometimes the dogs who need the most patience have the most love to give. Riley has done the hard part, now she's just waiting for someone to love her forever. Meet Riley!Riley is a sweet 4-year-old Hound mix who's been winning hearts since the moment she arrived. She came to us after an incident involving a smaller dog, but with people she has been nothing but gentle, loving, and eager to connect. Riley is one of those dogs who simply doesn't thrive in a shelter environment, and moving into a foster home made all the difference for her. When she first arrived, Riley was nervous and didn't want to come out of her room. With patience, routine, and kindness, she slowly opened up. In foster care, she greeted her family each day with a wagging tail and showed off the cuddly, affectionate personality we knew was hiding underneath. She relaxed, became more confident, and let her silly side shine.Unfortunately, Riley has now returned to our care and is once again looking for either a forever home or a foster family. While we're happy to have her with us, we know she is much more comfortable in a home environment where she can feel safe, settle into a routine, and be surrounded by people…
