*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Red the White Dog — Red for short! This handsome Pyr boy is currently in boarding and hoping to find a foster or forever home! Red grew up on a farm, though farm life never quite suited him. He didn't bond with the cows and started to roam, which made him a bit of an escape artist - so much of one that he was given to another farmer, but that didn't work out either, since he ended up playing too rough with some lambs. He loves people and was good with the grandkids - he liked to follow them around. All of this tells us that Red isn't cut out to be a livestock guardian, and would love a life as a family dog. Red is leash trained and would do well as a leash-walk-only dog, and he already knows "sit" - he's a very smart pup, so more training should come easily to him. His activity level is medium, and because he was an escape artist at his original home, he'll need a secure yard with a 6-foot fence to keep him safely contained. Red gets along well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as an only dog. He's good meeting new people of all ages.
