Animal Information: Raya is an approximately 7 month old, 7 pound Chihuahua who came to the Stanislaus shelter as part of an animal welfare case, where she and 18 other dogs were lovingly cared for by shelter staff while the District Attorney's office worked through the legal process. Once the dogs were finally released and available for rescue, we knew we had to help. Raya, along with Tasha, Littles, and Cooper, all came from the same home. Although she's a little shy at first, Raya has been incredibly sweet with the shelter staff and just needs a little time to feel safe and let her personality shine. We can't wait to welcome Raya to the Pacific Northwest and show her what the good life is all about! Foster Profile: Raya has settled into her Seattle foster home and continues to gain confidence every day. While she's still a little timid in new situations, she has really opened up over the past few weeks and is showing everyone what a happy, joyful little pup she is. Raya is friendly, curious, and playful. She loves dragging around toys that are almost bigger than she is and enjoys playing with stuffies.
