Meet Pumpernickel: Your Velveteen Cuddle Bug! Pumpernickel is a 4-month-old mixed-breed, black & white girl puppy with soft, silky fur and the tiniest paws. She has a hint of brown under her coat and the start of a little lighter scruff around her neck. At just 18 lbs, this velvet beauty has broken out of the shelter life and is ready to curl up in your lap and steal your heart for years to come. She and her two siblings, including Pepper, were born to their sweet mom, Mama June, in West Virginia, and Pumpernickel is looking for her forever family. Pumpernickel's mama is about 45 pounds, so we expect Pumpernickel to be a medium-sized dog when she is fully grown.PersonalityPumpernickel is a snuggler through and through. She loves leaning into her foster family's necks, burrowing her head into a warm blanket (or into you), lying on a pillow, and relaxing on a hammock swing. When she's feeling playful, she's all about tug and fetch. She already points, knows "sit," and is working on "place."
