OTIS NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Otis Best Guess for Breed: Terrier and sheltie mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of July 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 19 lbs Gets Along With: Otis does well with other dogs and is currently living with cats in his foster home. He’s done well when meeting young kids and we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Otis was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of his shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home that either has a confident, welcoming resident dog or will commit to providing him with opportunities to socialize with other dogs at least every other day. Otis is Looking For: His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world outside of a kennel. One where he is a cherished part of a family…
