From Friends of Orange County's Homeless Pets

Oscar is a 5‑year‑old, 22‑pound sweetheart with a gentle heart, but he’s still learning that people can be safe. He’s afraid of new faces and won’t “show” well at first meetings. He’s not the dog who runs up for instant cuddles — he’s the dog who watches quietly from the corner, trying to decide if you’re kind. Oscar does especially well with another friendly, confident dog who can help guide him and show him the world isn’t so scary. With patience, consistency, and a soft approach, his sweetness starts to peek through

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting Oscar works

Friends of Orange County's Homeless Pets decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
