UPDATE!!✨ Meet Onyx. This sweet girl lost her owner and then the caregiver passed away and her and her dog pals were left to fend for themselves for atleast 6 plus months. By the time our rescue was alerted, Onyx had a litter of babies under a shed. Temps were dropping and we had to act quick. Mom and babies were pulled from under the shed and secured in foster. Sadly, mom and all babies broke with parvo. Thankfully, we were able to save all but one sweet pup. All have now healed physically and doing great. Onyx will be spayed and adoption ready next week. Onyx is a special case. While physically she has healed… mentally she still fears change and new people. She’s not aggressive in anyway but definitely a flight risk until she is comfortable. She needs a family that will give her patience and time to adjust and all the love she needs to overcome her past. She is a beautiful lab mix around 50 lbs. She is great with dogs and a sweet girl with people once her guard is let down. A calmer older house we feel would be best and easiest for this girl to adjust and show her full potential in. If you have the perfect loving home for this girl please apply below. Our adoptions are NOT on a…

How adopting Onyx works

Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
