NIEVES NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Nieves Best Guess for Breed: Husky mix Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of August 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 36 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out this video of Nieves: https://youtu.be/VajSk56p6vs. Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.Nieves is Looking For: His forever home! Nieves is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He didn't have the easiest life before being rescued but has been nothing but happy and friendly and loving - he is so ready for his new chapter! He hasn't seen enough of the world - he's eager to get his own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures his family can dream up. Making pup pals along the way…
