From Legacy Humane Society
Montana is a 2 1/2-year-old, 56 lb. Husky/German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to a city shelter by his owner. After spending several months being overlooked by families, he was taken in by a Legacy Humane Society foster and is now enjoying the good life while he waits for that special someone to make him part of their family. Unfortunately, Montana wasn’t treated the best in his previous home, but despite that, he is still as sweet, gentle, and loving as can be. He is completely housebroken, walks well on a leash, loves to play fetch, and is happiest when he can be right by your side. Montana is also good with children and is especially gentle with younger kids. He needs a home without cats but could do well with other dogs with a proper meet and greet. This handsome boy will thrive with a family that can continue to provide him with love, structure, consistency, and encouragement. In return, Montana will give you loyalty, companionship, and plenty of affection. Montana is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He tested positive for heartworms and is currently being treated through the slow-kill method. This treatment does not require the same level of rest and activity…
