Michael is a quiet, gentle little Yorkie with a soft soul who is still learning that people can be kind. He is naturally very shy and cautious, and new people or sudden movements can feel overwhelming to him. When approached too quickly, his instinct is to run and find a safe space. But underneath that fear is a truly sweet and even-tempered dog who has never shown any signs of aggression—even when being picked up or handled for things like baths. Michael is also a smart little guy who is already starting to show small but meaningful signs of trust. He will now take treats gently from your hand, a big step forward for him, and it’s clear that with patience, he will continue to build confidence at his own pace. He enjoys the company of other dogs and feels comforted by them. He greets other dogs nicely and would likely benefit from a calm, confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and make him feel more secure. Michael walks nicely on a leash and does well going outside for potty breaks, though he is still learning that all pottying should happen outdoors. He will need continued guidance and consistency as he settles into a routine. Loud noises can be scary for him, so…
