From Danielle's Animal Safe Haven

My name is Merle Haggard/Kain. I am a spry guy who most consider a senior, but I do not act my age at all. I am, however, blind in my left eye due to an injury and the vet says I can most likely only see shadows with my right eye, but I don't let that stop me. I can navigate a couple of steps to go in and out of my foster mom's house into the fenced in backyard where I go potty and enjoy exploring with the other doggies in her place. I do think I would do best with another doggie sibling, preferably a girl ( I love the ladies!) to help me learn where everything is in my new forever home and make me feel comfortable. I am not a big fan of being picked up sometimes, but as long as I get some scratches behind the ears while I'm in your arms I will relax and stay there. I also have some scars on my head, ears and back, and my foster mom doesn't know how I came by those, but I think that's why I'm not a big fan of being picked up sometimes. I enjoy sleeping next to one of my foster sisters at night whether its in a dog bed or my humans bed and I sleep through the night. I am not a big fan of being crated and will bark a lot when in one, but I am old enough that I know not to tear…
