Meet Maxine: A Special Girl Looking for Her Forever Family Maxine is a beautiful 2-year-old terrier mix with a remarkable spirit and so much love to give. Born blind, Maxine has never let her disability define her. In fact, anyone who meets her quickly realizes that she doesn't see herself as any different from any other dog. She confidently navigates her home, yard, and even stairs with ease, embracing life with joy, curiosity, and determination. A year ago, Maxine thought she had found her forever home. She was deeply loved by her family, and they loved her right back. Unfortunately, despite working with trainers and trying every possible solution, Maxine developed an irresistible urge to chase the family's cat. When their veterinarian determined that the cat's stress levels were seriously affecting her health, her family was faced with an impossible decision. With heavy hearts, they returned Maxine to our rescue, hoping we could help her find the perfect home where she could truly thrive. Now Maxine is waiting for her…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.
