Meet Max, a 3-year-old Shar Pei weighing about 50 pounds, and we’re pretty sure his smooshed little face was engineered specifically to make people fall in love with him. Max is an incredibly friendly, happy guy who loves meeting new people and is always thrilled to have visitors. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he can be near his people, but he’s also perfectly content to settle into his own bed when it’s time to wind down. He’s been an absolute joy to have in his foster home and has proven to be a very easygoing housemate. When Max isn’t busy being everyone’s new best friend, he’s got places to go and smells to investigate. He absolutely loves being outside and enjoys walks, especially when there’s something interesting for his nose to inspect. Trees, bushes, mysterious bunny activity… Max considers it all important investigative work. He does pull a little on leash, but his foster family has been working with him and he’s already improving. Bunnies, however, remain his greatest test of self-control because they are apparently VERY exciting. Max also has a delightfully goofy side.
