From Dakota Dachshund Rescue

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. We DO NOT have a physical shelter. Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it. I’m Maverick! I am a Maverick! But that’s my name too! I’m just beginning to recognize my name… usually I’m too busy playing to pay attention. I love to play and wrestle with my foster brothers. I’ve found my voice and I like to taunt my buddies until they decide I’ve annoyed them enough the they will play with me. I get zoomies several times each day. I’m the most handsome red brindle you’ll ever see, especially on a little guy like me. My foster family says I’ll probably never get bigger than about 11#, but I’ll always think I’m bigger than that. I’m working on my house training. It’s a work in progress, but I was only born in April. I’m still young. I’m doing really well with harness and leash training. I enjoy my walk around the block every night with my foster brothers. I love my big foster brother best of all and I…

How adopting Maverick works

Dakota Dachshund Rescue decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
