Some dogs spend their lives asking for very little, yet give absolutely everything in return. Martha is one of those dogs. This sweet 13-year-old Shih Tzu-Pug mix has the gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet. Though she is small and delicate, her heart is overflowing with quiet love. In her golden years, Martha moves through the world at a soft, unhurried pace, seeking out warm blankets, cozy corners, and long, peaceful naps in her favorite bed. Martha is a true cuddle expert. Her favorite place in the world is right beside you, snuggled close, sharing her calm, comforting presence. Whether she’s resting her head in your lap or tucked into her blankets, she brings a sense of peace to everyone around her. She is currently in the early stages of kidney disease and needs a little extra care, but what she gives back in return is immeasurable. Martha has a beautiful way of reminding you to slow down, cherish quiet moments, and find joy in life’s simplest pleasures. Senior dogs like Martha are so often overlooked, yet they have some of the biggest hearts.
